HIFUU CLUB - "NEW IMAGINARY REALITIES" (32 min.)
RELEASED : August 7, 2025 CODE NUMBER AND FORMAT : NHC-0004 / YouTube Video + Digital Download REVIEW >>> The album starts with beeping followed by an old TV show soundtrack. The second track has the lyrics "Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away" and then, "In yesterday..." repeating over and over, and getting stuck at the end. The third track is a happy song with the lyrics "Hah! La-la-la-la-life goes on..." repeating over and over again, and the pitch gets lower with each repeat. The fourth track is a weird repeating instrumental with no explanation. The fifth track starts with the end of a song with the lyrics "Now it's too late to realize" and "Now that the smile has left your eyes". A new song begins, and this is another investigative instrumental just like the previous album. The sixth track is very similar to the fourth track, but it has some differences. You can hear a guitar solo in the loops and other instruments too. The seventh track starts with a repeating jingle, and the lyrics "Satisfy me" is interrupted by the lyrics "Leave me this way" or "Lead me this way" repeating. The eighth track is a repeating clip of a rock song with the lyrics "Time will fall / follow / crawl". I'm not sure which is the right lyrics. The ninth track is a repeating snippet of a lady singing "It's a bad dream because I let it slide" and "I don't care if it's 'tryna-". The tenth track is a slow classical piece with strings. You can hear faint talking too. The eleventh track is a club remix with some lines repeating. There are a lot of lyrics, but it's about a girl who regrets losing her boyfriend because he got mad at what she had told him. The girl wants to find him again. The twelveth track is a repeating guitar that transitions to the next track. The thirteenth track is an alarming sound with the lyrics "Nobody knows" repeating. "Listen. Do you want to know a secret?" repeats a few times, and it goes back to the alarming sound. The fourteenth track is a relaxed song with sad lyrics. "And in her eyes you see nothing" repeats a few times, and the singer says "She says long ago she knew someone, but now he's gone and she doesn't need him". The last part starts repeating a bunch of times and the phrase "No longer needs you" is also repeating over it, getting louder with each repeat. The fifteenth track is a relaxing guitar song with the lyrics "I love you..." repeating a few times. The sixteenth track only has the phrase "It's alright" repeating a few times. The seventeenth track is a country rock song with the lyrics "Get back to where you once belong" repeating a few times. The eighteenth track is a pop-rock song with repeating lyrics. It sounds like "??? I wanna play! Na-na-na-na-na", but I could be wrong. The nineteenth track has the lyrics "Doesn't have a point of view, knows not where he's going to. Isn't he-" and it gets interrupted by a girl saying "It was very little and I thought it was another piece of ???". The twentieth track sounds like a small marching band snippet, and the second loop is lower pitched. The twenty-first track has the lyrics "Nothing you can make that can't be made" repeating a few times. The twenty-second track is the end of a song, but the last few notes repeats over and over again. It sometimes changes speed, and different variations of the same notes are repeating over each other. The twenty-third track is an eleven minute long voice recording. It's the same girl from track nineteen, and she talks about random things. She cracks a few jokes, talks about the items her room and some of her memories. The year 1988 is mentioned a few times, and a recent football match she mentions (Bordeaux vs. Napoli) confirms that this cassette was recorded in the same year. It's very interesting. You have to listen carefully to understand her. Beware, as one of her jokes is little sexual. English is not her native language but she speaks it very well. She also studies physics. That was very weird. The style of this album reminds me of REBORN PT:2 with its short repeating music clips. It's supposed to be a sequel to WELCOME HOME, but I am quite confused about the story. The track names are very vague. Some of the lyrics are meaningful, like a relationship between a girl and a boy who no longer love each other. Looking at the album title, I can tell that this is not supposed to be understood by everyone. You can try interpreting it yourself. The album cover looks magical, I think those two girls are the people who this story might be about.
